Meeting your duties under the Construction (Design and Management) Regulations 2015 (CDM 2015) can be a daunting task. But, thanks to SID’s Design Guides, you have access to clear guidance about a range of topics.
When CDM was introduced, designers contacted the Health and Safety Executive (HSE) to ask for advice about how to comply with its provisions. They wanted information that came from an authoritative source in the construction industry, was brief and user-friendly, and provided suggestions for design actions. The SID Design Guides respond to these demands. They have been written by professionals nominated by the Presidents of the major design institutions and supported by technical specialists in the HSE. They are now maintained by SID.
Our CDM 2015 guidance is regularly updated to ensure it is correct against current regulations. However, please note that compliance with our CDM 2015 guidance does not necessarily confer immunity from prosecution under health and safety legislation.
