Meet the Team: Paul Bussey, Design Guides Chair
A lifetime's experience in architecture. A lifelong passion for design. A deep commitment to safety.
That's what makes Paul Bussey the perfect SID Design Guides Chair.
Paul qualified as an architect after studying in Liverpool and London. Since then, he's worked on projects of every size - including three years in Africa and 19 years with London practice RHWL.
Paul has worked on the design of many commercial buildings, low-cost housing and public buildings from theatres and concert halls to the Dubai Metro. He's even designed and built a pharmaceutical factory in Zambia.
Nowadays, Paul heads up a Construction & Design consultancy unit at Scott Brownrigg. This reflects his interest in all Building Regulations and British Standards implementation whilst facilitating excellent design.
In fact, to call it an interest is to miss the point. As chair of DIOHAS, vice chair of the London Region of the Association for Project Safety, and chair of a team writing a new British Standard on working at height, Paul lives and breathes the world of health and safety compliance.
So with Paul at the helm of the Design Guides team, you know you're in safe hands.
