1-day course

CDM 2015: the Client role

Remote (9am-4pm)

This course provides a grounding for those who are Clients or Client advisers.

Building on the Client course developed with Heathrow, this course takes a close look at Clients’ statutory duties; why it is important to get the project right from the start; and what that looks like in practice.

Delegates will increase their confidence in:

  • CDM in the wider H&S regulation landscape
  • What CDM is designed to achieve, and how
  • CDM and its supporting legal processes
  • Definitive (and implied) Client duties under CDM
  • What good looks like and how to achieve it
  • Where to get additional resources and support

Plus, we cover how to handle different situations based on the specific needs of the delegates.

All delivered in an engaging course that gives delegates the foundations to help lead the delivery of truly successful projects, by any measure – safety, health, programme, cost, quality, sustainability. The list goes on.

Safety in Design has helped Heathrow find answers to health and safety conundrums in a way that helps us understand how, as a large organisation, we can manage risk affectivelyLiz has a fantastic ability to simplify the complex and deliver any message in an authentic and engaging way, always taking time to go above and beyond to ensure everyone understands the detail.’
